Dario Mercato is a Roman Style Pizzeria located in Downtown Plainfield on Lockport St.
We are open 12-8PM, Tuesday - Saturday.
We are located at 24036 W Lockport St, Plainfield, IL 60544.
We use a natural, organic flour imported from Italy. We use domestic organic tomatoes. We use a beautiful imported mozzarella.
We do slices of pizza for lunch & for dinner, we do whole pizzas.
We have a pizzetta (which feeds 1-2), a half sheet (which feeds 2-3) or as a full sheet (which feeds 4-6).
If you order a slice, it’s by what is available on our board… if you order a pizzetta / half sheet / full sheet, you can choose from any of the pizzas on our menu. We allow customization within reason.
We make panino (or sandwich) on our housemade schiacciata bread. We have a few different panino options that we’ll probably change every few months or so.
We make some Italian fried street-foods like Arancini, Suppli, Polpette & fried Zucchini.
We have a few salads.
We offer Italian beer, Aperol Spritz, a few cocktails & our wine list is full of Natural Wine for you to drink while you eat.
We always have a rotating selection of gelatos.
When you get here for lunch, you order at the counter & can either take everything to go, or, you are more than welcome to dine in with us. I worked hard to make our space feel like somewhere you want to spend time in.
When you get here for dinner, you can sit at a table and we’ll come over and take care of you.
I think we are more like a dine-in restaurant, you just happen to order at the counter.
We have a small marketplace that is always stocked with imported pastas, tomatoes, olives, taralli, lupini beans, natural wine & whatever else we think would be nice to share on our shelves.
